Once a month a few good friends get together as a thinly disguised excuse to spend the day shooting as fast as we can!
Steel Non Reactive Targets
- 18 x 24 inch rectangles
- 12 inch circles
- 10 inch circles
- 8 inch circles
Course of Fire:
- 6 stages
- 4 to 5 targets per stage
- 7 to 14 yards range to targets
Shooting for Time
- 5 strings per stage
- Keep the 4 best times
- Add all stages for total time
- Low time wins
Safety
- Cold Range - no loaded guns except on the firing line
- Range Operator (RO) for every shooter on the line
- Shooting from the ready,
- Gun in hand,
- Safety On,
- Finger out of the trigger guard,
- Gun touching the shooting table,
- No drawing from the holster
- Eye and Ear protection required

Ammo
- Lead or copper plated bullets only
- NO Full Metal Jacked or Jacketed Hollowpoints
- Recommended medium or light loads, avoid HOT loads
- Extended and high capacity magazines are allowed
- Spare magazines or speed loaders recommended
Scoring
- Shooting for Time
- Each stage is shot 5 times,
the worst string is discarded- Each target can be shot at till hit,
no limit on number of shots fired- 5 second penalty for each target not hit
Prizes
- Script is given towards future entry fees
- No Cash awarded (low stakes)
- Maximum of one award per shooter
We generally shoot on the Second Sunday of each month. Registration starts at 9:00 AM, with the safety briefing, awards and announcement starting promptly at 9:30. Shooting begins as soon as possible following the walk through of the course of fire. Expect to continue shooting till about 3:00 PM. The time may vary depending on weather, number of shooters, and other conditions.
These are the scheduled dates for the 1999 matches:

The match is held at the Paul Bunyon Rifle and Sportsman's Club (17902 Meridian South 98373) in Puyallup Washington. It is near South 176th and Meridian, almost across the street from the entrance to the county land fill. This is about a 30 minute drive from Tacoma.
Entry fees are $5 per class entered. You may enter as many different classes as you like, most shooters enter between one and three classes. Be sure to bring enough ammo (about 200 rounds per entry), although there is usually some extra ammo available at the match.
