Sarah is about to visit the Doctor, after beginning contractions at 7:00 AM this morning. She is in her 38th week of her term. |

Here we listen to the baby's heart, still beating strong at about 150 beats per minute. |

Now we take one last look through the ultra sound, checking the size and position of the baby. |

The contractions are happening about every 3 minutes now, and Sarah has dilated to 4 cm, so the Doctor says "It's time to go the the hospital!" This is the birthing room at Tacoma General Hospital. |

The contractions are happening more quickly now, and they are stronger than before. |

Less than 2 hours after she arrives in the hospital the time has come! |

Here is Kristofer Micheal Murphy! 4 pounds and 9 ounces! He is 18" of little boy . . . |

And the look on Sarah's face says it all as she enjoys a great meal (after feeding the new baby first)! |
